Sigil Partners is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design, develop, test, and support electrical systems, equipment, and components for manufacturing applications. This individual will collaborate with engineering, operations, production, quality, and maintenance teams to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions that improve manufacturing performance.

The ideal candidate will bring strong electrical engineering fundamentals, experience supporting industrial or manufacturing environments, and the ability to manage projects from concept and design through testing, implementation, and production support. This is a remote position within the United States that may require periodic travel to manufacturing facilities, supplier locations, or customer sites.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and improve electrical systems, equipment, controls, and components for manufacturing applications
  • Create and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, bills of materials, and technical specifications
  • Support the selection and integration of electrical components, sensors, motors, drives, instrumentation, and control systems
  • Collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing, automation, quality, and operations teams on new equipment and process-improvement initiatives
  • Perform engineering calculations, design reviews, risk assessments, and root-cause analyses
  • Troubleshoot electrical equipment, system failures, and production issues
  • Support equipment installation, validation, commissioning, and production startup activities
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable electrical codes, safety requirements, and industry standards
  • Work with suppliers and contractors to evaluate components, resolve technical issues, and maintain project requirements
  • Develop and maintain engineering documentation, test procedures, technical reports, and equipment specifications
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, energy efficiency, product quality, and manufacturing performance
  • Provide technical guidance and support to manufacturing, maintenance, and field-service teams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
  • 3+ years of professional electrical engineering experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Experience designing, testing, or supporting electrical systems, equipment, or components
  • Proficiency with electrical design and documentation tools such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar software
  • Experience reading and creating electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications
  • Familiarity with industrial power distribution, motors, drives, sensors, instrumentation, and control panels
  • Understanding of electrical safety practices and applicable standards such as NEC, NFPA 70E, UL, or equivalent requirements
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and root-cause analysis skills
  • Ability to manage multiple technical priorities and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel periodically to manufacturing facilities, suppliers, or customer sites

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, industrial networks, or manufacturing automation
  • Experience supporting equipment commissioning, validation, or production startup
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or Six Sigma methodologies
  • Experience with regulatory compliance, functional safety, or machinery-safety standards
  • Knowledge of design for manufacturability, reliability engineering, and lifecycle management
  • Professional Engineer license, Engineer-in-Training certification, or relevant technical certification
  • Experience working with distributed teams in a remote environment
